who put their lives on the line to fight for our country.

Isaac serviced in the Civil War Nov 1, 1863 to May 13, 1866.
He was Private Isaac Blaker on Mississippi Union side.
He jointed when he was about 14 or 15 years old.
Isaac was my Great Grandpa. He was said to have ran away to join the army.
Isaac was born into slavery in Missouri.

There is a plaque in honor of my Great Grandpa service during the Civil War.
I discovered that there was a plaque with his name on it last year.
