Some Of My Family Connections Resolutions For 2021

What are some of my plans for my family connections quest?

I will continue to journal and share some of my discoveries about some of my ancestors. I plan to take the 52 ancestors 52 weeks challenge via Genealogy Café via facebook . The journey is challenging. And I’ll update my findings through the themes along the way, when possible.

I believe that there’s more for me to discover about my family history. I’m thankful that God has given me a heart’s desire to seek out my family connections. I’m thankful that God has allowed me to do what I do.

Through the decades. of searching for my family tree, it has grown. I have so many relatives. I’m hoping to stumble across more in the years to come. Thank You, Jesus!

January In Remembrance on The DADE Family Connections
I plan to update my Project Francis (Ovington) Dade Connections.

In the beginning of my search for Francis’s children, I came across a Ben Dade and a Isaac Dade. Back then, I couldn’t make the connection that I needed. Now, I have the proof through DNA matches, documents and from newspaper articles.

According to the 1900 census, Francis Dade had 14 children in which 7 were living at that time. I have verified 7 of her children. And I’m hoping that I will find at least 3 more. I have some clues to follow, but no proof to back things up.

January In Remembrance on The BARTLETT Family Connections.
I don't have clues to follow up on the BARTLETT Connections, yet. I think the surname was changed. I've come across BARTEL as a spelling with Jennie was she married John BLAKEY and BARTLEY when Elias Bartlett Sr married Harriet HUGHES. Plus. I have a DNA match with a BARTEL who is white man.

January In Remembrance: Blakey Blakley WHITE Family Connections
I plan to focus on locating the where about of my Great Grandfather Isaac BLAKEY, his mother, Julia and her children on the 1870 census. I hope to find more clues from Isaac’s pension records.

I hope to find some clues. I think that I will discover more along my journey. I hope other will searching as well. It takes a team to search for our family connections.

May we not set out to make what we plan a ritual.
May we adjust to the changes that are needed.
May we see our goals as challenges.
May we do the best with what we have.
Amen!

Happy New Year!
May 2021 be a whole lot better than 2020.

Thanks for reading.
God bless and protect you and your family.
S.A. Blakley
