Military Honor: Veterans Not Forgotten

On this Veterans Day,
I want to honor those who are veterans and those served in U.S.military.
Thank you!

May God continue to Bless America,
the land that I love.
Stand be side her and guide her...
I am thankful for the service men and women
who put their lives on the line to fight for our country.
May God protect all the service members of the military branches near and aboard.
May God bless their families and comfort them.
I have listed some of some of my relatives that served in United States' military.
Isaac Blakey
Civil War
1845 -1917
Private Isaac Blaker
Isaac serviced in the Civil War Nov 1, 1863 to May 13, 1866.
He was  Private Isaac Blaker on Mississippi Union side.
He jointed when he was about 14 or 15 years old.
Isaac was my Great Grandpa. He was said to have ran away to join the army.
Isaac was born into slavery in Missouri. 
There is a plaque in honor of my Great Grandpa service during the Civil War.
I discovered that there was a plaque with his name on it last year.
The name on the plaque reads Isaac Blaker.


Ezekiel W. Nickerson
World War I (Private in Colorado)
Ezekiel married Isabella Lankford
Isabella who was the daugther of Robert and Charlotta Lankford.
Leo Lankford Jr. U.S. World War II (Private)
He was wounded in the war later died.
Leo was my mother's brother.
 Children of Leo and Mary (Allen) Lankford.)

Robert Lewis Lankfard

Robert was my mother's brother

James J. Weston Jr.

James was the husband of Betty Lankford.
Betty, my mother's sister.

Eugene Richardson
---U.S. Army World War II
Eugene was married to my Aunt Mary J. Blakley.

Faris C. Lyle ---
U.S. Army World War II
Faris was my father's brother.
Frederick W. Lankford,
He drown overseas in 1952: Korean War
Frederick was my mother's brother.
